Dear Families,
• Thank you to all of the parents who assembled Jingle Bells! It is much appreciated
• A big thank you to all the parents who helped assemble the fall campaign mailing as well.
• There will be a gala meeting next week during large group rehearsal in the student lounge at 9:45 Please come and volunteer for to help on a committee. Many hands make light work.
• Nutcracker gifts—Thanks to everyone who has donated gifts so far. Please bring gifts directly to Nutcracker anytime before Sunday night.
• Messiah tickets will be distributed next week. Additional tickets may be purchased for $12.00 adults, $7.00 senior and $1.00 student. This is a discount price and is available only through chorus, tickets purchased at the door will not be discounted. Each family will receive two tickets.
• Orkidstra tickets: we still do not know if we will receive a complimentary ticket to this concert or not. It is non-reserved seating and tickets will be available at the door or at rpo.com.
• Testing: focus of testing will be: The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy, El Decembre, Les Anges, and Masters in this hall. Please be sure you have all the other music learned and polished. Mrs. Krogstad reserves the right to test any child on any song if she deems it necessary.
• Fundraisers—if you still owe money or books or tickets, please turn them in NO LATER than next week.
• We are starting our big push into our concert season: please make sure your child has adequate sleep, good nutrition, and washes their hands frequently. Please do not bring sick children to any rehearsals or concerts. We cannot risk infecting the entire chorus!
• Thanks to all of the kids who are working so hard. Your dedication shows and will pay off with fabulous concerts!
• Next week—is large group rehearsal. It is a Mandatory rehearsal.

Dear Families,
• Congratulations to the kids on a great performance last week! You were fabulous!
• THIS JUST IN: We have been asked to sing at a Kodak Executive Holiday party at George Eastman House on Dec 15th from 6:00 to 6:30. We can only bring 30 kids: 10 B 5 A 5C and 10 H. Second year students and above only. First come first accepted, I need your definite commitment by Wed. Nov 7. The chorus will be paid for this performance.
• Fall campaign mailing: At this week’s rehearsal I need several parents to help assemble our fall campaign mailing. Please meet in the student lounge after rehearsal starts.
• Trip—First trip deposit was due last week. There is still time to sign up, but hurry!
• Nutcracker concert information sheet is attached.
• Nutcracker ticket vouchers are in your folders today.
• Nutcracker gifts—At the Sunday night cast party, all choristers receive a thank you gift. First choice is given to those choristers who have sung in all six performances, then five, then four and so on. We need some help this year in procuring the Nutcracker/holiday themed gifts. Please consider purchasing and donating one or two gifts for the raffle. These can be brought to any rehearsal between now and Nov 19th or brought directly to the Eastman school during Nutcracker.
• BCC Logo pins—Just arrived! Get your BCC logo lapel pin for $5.00. Available from Mrs. Santini anytime!!!
• Jingle Bells—We are in need of parents to assemble jingle bells for the Orkidstra concert during the combined rehearsal with Amadeus on Nov 4. Please stay to help if you can.
• Messiah tickets: will be distributed on November 17. There will be to tickets per family for this event.
• Delta Sonic and Entertainment Books money is due. Please turn in all money or returned items this week.
• January 19, 2008 MAG concert: We still need 2B’s, 3 A’s 3 C’s and 4 H’s. Deadline to sign up before I have to cancel the event is Nov. 15. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Dear Families,
• Oct 27 Peace Concert—Arrival time is 6:00 pm. Please park behind the library. Attached please find a map of the U of R campus. Please limit guests at the reception following the concert (in the library) to two. There will be a shuttle for the return trip back to the parking lot.
• Parent meeting—there will be a parent meeting in the student lounge on Oct 27 at 9:45. Remember, everyone must attend one meeting. We will be discussing the Gala and answering questions.
• Trip—First trip deposit is due at rehearsal on Oct 27. Deposit is $100.00 per person and a separate registration form is needed for each person. Please find forms attached. Also check out our website for interesting info on the trip!!! Thanks to Bill Harris for all the work on the website!
• Schedule—Attached is a revised (version 3.0) calendar. Please note changes in yellow. There are still a few rehearsal location details to be settled. Please check back.
• Nutcracker schedule- is attached. The font would not print out any larger, please adjust the zoom to a higher level, I suggest 150% in order to see it. You may also perform at any performance for which you are not scheduled. No need to tell us in advance, just show up.
• Nutcracker ticket vouchers will be distributed next week.
• Nutcracker gifts—each year choristers receive a keepsake gift during our cast party on Sunday night after Nutcracker. Stuffed animals, Nutcrackers, and holiday themed items are very popular with the kids. It is very much appreciated when parents donate one or two items to the “raffle” Please keep an eye out at discount stores, etc. Donated items can be brought to any large group between now and Nutcracker or can be brought anytime during Nutcracker.

Dear Families,
• Oct 27 Peace Concert—We have some updated information on the Peace concert. First year choristers please let Mrs. Lyubomirsky know no later than Oct. 13 if you DO NOT plan on attending. This concert is optional for first year, everyone else is expected to attend. Updated concert information sheet is attached.
• Uniforms: Ties and cummerbunds will be available on Oct 27 at large group. Please be sure to get yours before the concert that night. Cost is $10.00 for a set.
• Trip—First trip deposit is due at rehearsal on Oct 27. Deposit is $100.00 per person and a separate registration form is needed for each person. Registration forms will be available on the website www.bachkidsusa.org by the middle of next week.
• Schedule—an updated schedule (Version 2.0) is attached. It is still quite possible there will be some refining of rehearsal dates and times for the Polar Express. Stay tuned.
• Nutcracker schedule- Requests for excusal from specific performances are due to Mrs. Lyubomirsky by Oct. 20th. All choristers will be scheduled for at least four and possibly five performances. Please try to be as flexible as possible, for instance, do not ask for a specific performance off unless you have no other choice. Choristers are welcome to do all six. Please let June know if you would like to do all six.
• Nutcracker gifts—each year choristers receive a keepsake gift during our cast party on Sunday night after Nutcracker. Dear Families,
• Oct 27 Peace Concert—We have some updated information on the Peace concert. First year choristers please let Mrs. Lyubomirsky know no later than Oct. 13 if you DO NOT plan on attending. This concert is optional for first year, everyone else is expected to attend. Updated concert information sheet is attached.
• Uniforms: Ties and cummerbunds will be available on Oct 27 at large group. Please be sure to get yours before the concert that night. Cost is $10.00 for a set.
• Trip—First trip deposit is due at rehearsal on Oct 27. Deposit is $100.00 per person and a separate registration form is needed for each person. Registration forms will be available on the website www.bachkidsusa.org by the middle of next week.
• Schedule—an updated schedule (Version 2.0) is attached. It is still quite possible there will be some refining of rehearsal dates and times for the Polar Express. Stay tuned.
• Nutcracker schedule- Requests for excusal from specific performances are due to Mrs. Lyubomirsky by Oct. 20th. All choristers will be scheduled for at least four and possibly five performances. Please try to be as flexible as possible, for instance, do not ask for a specific performance off unless you have no other choice. Choristers are welcome to do all six. Please let June know if you would like to do all six.
• Nutcracker gifts—each year choristers receive a keepsake gift during our cast party on Sunday night after Nutcracker. Stuffed animals, Nutcrackers, and holiday themed items are very popular with the kids. It is very much appreciated when parents donate one or two items to the “raffle” Please keep an eye out at discount stores, etc. Donated items can be brought to any large group between now and Nutcracker or can be brought anytime during Nutcracker.

• Oct 27 Peace Concert—to celebrate the opening of the Gandhi Center for Nonviolence, we have been asked to sing at a concert in the Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester Campus. Arrival time is 6:20, assemble in the room below the stage. EACH CHORISTER WILL RECEIVE ONE FREE TICKET. WE DO NOT HAVE INFORMATION ON TICKET COST.
• Uniforms: Ties and cummerbunds will be available on Oct 27 at large group. Please be sure to get yours before the concert that night. Cost is $10.00 for a set.

Pleas make checks to Nazareth College.

Dear Families,
Starting next week, I will email you a link to access the memo on the bcc website
Oct 27 Peace Concert—to celebrate the opening of the Gandhi Center for Nonviolence, we have been asked to sing at a concert in the Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester Campus. Arrival time is 6:20, assemble in the room below the stage. The concert is still in the planning stage, however, if tickets are required each chorister will get at least one free ticket. We do not have any more information about tickets than that. LOOK FOR A CONCERT INFORMATION SHEET NEXT WEEK
Fundraisers—tickets and books may be picked up or turned in on Set 29 during large group rehearsal. Both items make great holiday gifts for teachers, bus drivers, postman, etc. Shop early!
New CD is being distributed today. Please refer to attached schedule for when repertoire will be performed. First year choristers should learn repertoire in the concert order specified. Most of the music is in English and not too hard. Most choristers should be able to participate in most of the concerts.
Tuition –is now due immediately. Please make payment or contact Mrs. Santini for payment arrangements as soon as possible. Please leave your check in Mrs. Santini’s folder in the white rack.
Website—All BCC communications, memos, schedules, etc. will now be posted on the website. Any breaking news will be posted in the BCC Blog. Please check often for updated info.
Uniform Karen Breen, uniform coordinator, will be distributing ties and cummerbunds at large group rehearsals. The cost is $10.00 for a set. These are a required part of the concert uniform. The other parts are a long sleeved, white, oxford cloth, button down collar shirt and navy blue, pleat front school uniform pants. Navy blue pleat front uniform pants are available in the boys department at Sears, JC Penny, Target, or from Frenchtoast.com
Newsletter—if you have an interesting article for the newsletter, please send it electronically to Mrs. Santini. We are interested in a write up of last year’s trip, gala or any concert or event from the previous season. We will not be able to publish chorister news due to space limitations.
Free Organ—Mrs. Krogstad has a two manual Hammond Viscount three octave organ that she would like to give away. You will need to pick it up at her house. Please call 442-0800 if interested. Perfect for anyone wishing to learn basic keyboarding.
Entertainment Book and Delta Sonic Fundraisers—thanks to Terri D’Angelo for coordinating these. You may turn in money and check out more books/tickets on Saturday September 29. The last day for Delta Sonic is Nov. 3 and the last day for Entertainment books is Oct 27.

• We have been approached this week to be a part of a special musical performance on Oct. 27. in the evening. Repertoire for this event would be “Ode to Joy” and “All things Bright and Beautiful” This event will be confirmed this week and is optional for first year students. Returning students are expected to attend. More details as they become available.
• Tuition -was due last week. Please leave your check in Mrs. Santini’s folder in the white rack. Please contact Mrs. Santini for alternate payment arrangements.
