Dress for Success: EBCC Uniforms

Uniforms are REQUIRED for performances. They consist of black or dark "quiet" (rubber soled) shoes; navy slacks and white shirt for boys, navy skirt and white blouse for girls; and red ties for all chorus members. Girls' skirts and ties are rented from the chorus, for a $5 yearly fee and a one-time $20 deposit (refunded for skirts returned in good condition when the child leaves the chorus). Boys' ties require a one-time $10 deposit, refundable under the same terms. The rest of the uniform is purchased from "Attie's" store at Brighton 12 Corners (suburban Rochester)--directions are given out with the handbook at the beginning of the year. Accessories (earrings, jewelry, headbands/ribbons) should be minimal and tasteful. Boys' belts and socks should be dark. If makeup is worn, it should be subdued in color and applied sparingly.

Rules for Uniforms Only children in complete, correct uniforms are allowed to perform. (Don't forget the tie!) No white shoes, socks or hose are permitted at performances. (Girls wear flesh-colored hose.) No alterations are permitted on rented skirts or ties. Professional dry cleaning only for rental uniform pieces that become soiled during the concert season.
